How much do hurricane shutters cost?

How do you board up a broken window?
Board-up is temporary emergency stabilization, not a permanent window repair. Keep people away from loose glass and do not work outside during high wind, lightning, or another unsafe condition. A qualified crew assesses the opening, removes accessible hazards when safe, sizes an exterior-grade cover, anchors it to sound material with a method appropriate for the opening, and limits water entry until glass or window replacement can be completed.
Can a window be boarded without drilling?
Some openings can use a compatible interior-braced or clip-based temporary system, but tape, adhesive film, or an improvised friction fit is not a dependable substitute. Should I repair or replace a window?

Glass-only replacement can restore a failed insulated unit when the sash and frame remain serviceable. Frame repair must address the water source and surrounding wall, not just fill visible damage.
